Science
students of Delhi prefer to take B Tech course after passing higher secondary
Examination. This is due to the fact that it provides good platform for better
placement after graduation. But students generally feel a drastic change in
their study pattern after entering Engineering College. They have to cover more
syllabuses with a great difficulty level in less time. They have to cover about
six theory technical subjects and about six labs in approximately four months.
It is more challenging for students those were poor in Mathematics at school
level. This level of performance requires the need of rigorous training and
coaching. There are very less B Tech tuition institutes in Delhi which can help
engineering students. Most of these institutes are facing a crisis of expert
faculty members. Most of the B Tech tuition institutes in Delhi are being run
by school level, B sc level or BCA level teachers. They are not very effective
in providing expert level problem solving to students. Few B Tech coaching
institutes in Delhi have proper notes and being run by regular full time engineering
college Professors.
It is a
key finding that roughly 40% of students who took admission in any stream of
engineering got a backlog in at least one subject. There are roughly less than
60% of total students getting all clear throughout their eight semester B Tech
degree. Thus poor quality of technical education it is major problem in
engineering colleges of India. There are only a few good B Tech tuition
institutes in Delhi one of them is Tejas Engineers Academy. It is located in
west Delhi near Subhash Nagar Metro station. It is being run by a group of
regular engineering college faculty members those who provide part time
tuitions here. Most of the B Tech tuitions institutes in east Delhi are being
run by school level teachers. They capture engineering students from Ghaziabad or
Noida. Students going to such institutes are generally from UPTU. Syllabus of
UPTU is most difficult and lengthy as compared to MDU and IPU. Students find
themselves in difficulty after joining here as there are very less options
available. Similarly there are very less B Tech tuition institutes in south
Delhi. Most of them offers IIT JEE coaching but it is useless for students
pursuing B Tech in engineering. Most of them quotes very high fees equivalent
to semester fees of some government engineering colleges, still they are not
able to provide level of satisfaction to B Tech students. There are no B Tech
tuitions institutes in central Delhi. Students of central Delhi generally
travels to West Delhi or East Delhi for B Tech tuitions. Thus quality of training
and coaching is a big issue in from of engineering colleges of India. They have
to somehow reduce the number of backlogs in semester exams. It is their
fundamental duty to help their student as they charge a very heavy fee from
parents and in return they provide only cheap quality coaching to students from
freshers those who are not even interested in teaching.
